REPRESENTATIVE PERRY ANNOUNCES STATE PROCUREMENT TRAINING SESSION
BOSTON – Representative Jeffrey Davis Perry (R-Sandwich) is pleased to announce that the Executive Office of Administration and Finance, through the Operational Services Division (OSD), will be hosting a procurement training session on Cape Cod. The training session will be held on June 26th from 10am to 2:00pm in the Barnstable Town Hall, 367 Main Street, 2nd Floor Hearing Room, in Hyannis.
The OSD will be providing this free training session for business interested in learning more about the procurement process and doing business with the Commonwealth. Topics will include an overview of the procurement process, understanding contract forms, the Affirmative Marketing Program for minority and woman owned businesses, Comm-PASS, the Commonwealth’s e-procurement system, and marketing strategies.
Those interested in participating in this event should contact the OSD at OSDOutreach@sod.state.ma.us and providing their company name, attendee name, e-mail address, and telephone number. They may also contact Barbara Miller at the OSD by calling (617) 720-3148.
Representative Perry urges interested businesses to contact the OSD as soon as possible. “Space is limited at this training session and I encourage those businesses with a desire to enter into state contracts to participate. The state is looking to increase its number of contractors and this is the ideal opportunity to learn more about what options are available.

REPRESENTATIVE PERRY WELCOMES SUMMER INTERNS
BOSTON – Representative Jeffrey Davis Perry (R-Sandwich) is pleased to announce the addition of Craig Jordan and Ralph Crossen to his summer intern legislative staff. Both Mr. Jordan and Mr. Crossen will be working at the State House and in Representative Perry’s Sandwich District.
Mr. Jordan, a Sandwich resident, graduated from Villanova University in 2005, where he studied philosophy and Italian. He is currently finishing his first year at New England School of Law. He enjoys surfing, golfing, baseball, and reading. During his internship, he hopes to develop his legislative researching skills and to gain an understanding of the lawmaking process in Massachusetts.
“It is a wonderful opportunity to work with Representative Perry. He is one of the most respected and dedicated legislators in the Commonwealth, and I am very much looking forward to helping him in any way I can.” Mr. Jordan is expected to handle a variety legislative issue while completing his summer internship.
Mr. Crossen, also of Sandwich, is currently studying political science at New England College in New Hampshire, and just completed his sophomore year. Mr. Crossen is an energetic addition to Representative Perry’s staff. He hopes to gain a better understanding of the legislative process through constituent interaction, researching legislative proposals, and attending various workshops and committee hearings.
Mr. Crossen commented by saying, “I appreciate the opportunity that Representative Perry has given me to get a first hand look at the legislative process. Through this experience I hope to someday enter the political arena myself.”
In a statement Representative Perry said, “I look forward to working with these two exceptional individuals as we embark on another legislative session. We have many challenges that await us and I am thankful to have assembled such a motivated group of interns.”
